There were three snipers stationed inside the building the shooter used during Saturday's shooting of former President Donald Trump, a local law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the incident tells CBS News.
The operations plan had them stationed inside the building looking out windows toward the Trump rally. The information about the three snipers being inside the building was first reported by BeaverCountian.co

From what I understand Crook used his ladder to easily access the roof of the building. The cops that went up to see about a gunman on the roof, used the stationary ladder, and as one cop hung on to the edge of the roof, unable to draw his weapon, Crook backed him down with his shotgun.
So they’re very well could have been two ladders.
Their security earbuds were jammed tight into their ears.
Maybe that’s why that didn’t hear the guy that should never have been able to access the roof, on the roof.
The trees didn’t stop dozens from seeing him scale the building and start low crawling on the roof.

Well, Google streetview shows that the trees were there at least as far back as Nov. 2023. (As well as the brown rectangular patch.)
He had an AR15, not a shotgun.
The cops were, maybe on the other side of the connecting building from the ladder.
Stories said the cop was hoisted up by another cop.
No mention of an attached ladder.

Yep, and it looks like the two snipers closer to the podium, up on the other roof, were watching that whole show unfold. And if that was the shooters ladder, I wonder if the snipers were watching him bring his ladder in as well.
By the way, that is not a small ladder. Seeing a ladder anywhere near a building in they type of venue should have set off alarm bells and stopped that event immediately.

Shotgun? Did Crook manage to carry two guns up there then? He supposedly used an AR-15 for the assassination attempt.
Kim Cheatle says she was responsible for the security failure but won’t resign. My guess is she won’t quit because they haven’t met the DEI goals.

And it says not very good things that the choices are either this security failure was because of incompetence OR it was purposefully done.
Neither is acceptable, but it can’t be any other reason.

One way or another, I think something like that hapened.
Further, I suspect it was not entirely an accident. Too many things “went wrong” and allowed the near miss.

I am no landscaping expert, but the gray colored ground cover appears to be creek stones, and the brown colored ground cover appears to be mulch. creek stones can be used (for example) to reduce gopher damage, and mulch can be used to allow watering of junipers by falling rainwater. both can be used to inhibit weed growth.

I agree. The best you can say here is that the Secret Service was woefully incompetent. But then you have a string of failures - failures that allowed the shooter to get to a roof, then squeeze off a series of shots.
I have mentioned this elsewhere: Should Trump return to the White House, he should immediately assign RFK Jr to investigate this shooting.
Keep the compromised and corrupt FBI far away from the investigation. They will only lie and delay.
