There were three snipers stationed inside the building the shooter used during Saturday's shooting of former President Donald Trump, a local law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the incident tells CBS News.
The operations plan had them stationed inside the building looking out windows toward the Trump rally. The information about the three snipers being inside the building was first reported by BeaverCountian.co
One of the snipers inside saw Thomas Matthew Crooks outside and looking up at the roof, observing the building and disappearing, a local law enforcement officer tells CBS News

Lol...no, I don’t know anything about guns that I don’t own. I do know a shotgun fires shotgun shells.... as does my Taurus Judge pistol. Is there an AR-style rifle that also fires shotgun shells? I’m not really sure what the sarc tag was related to here, so I have to ask.
The little creep Crooks bought 50 rounds of ammo, but I haven’t seen it specified what type of ammo he bought. Does anyone know?

Incredible. One man died as his wife and child stood over him in the stands behind Trump and two others were critically injured, not to mention the matter that Donald Trump nearly lost his life.

Why not shut down the speech, make Trump get down and then see if the sniper story was true or not. Like they do with a suspicious unattended backpack or a car or van said to have a bomb inside. Then they say “The delay is over. There is no
threat at this time.” Happens at concerts and other events from time to time. After 911.
I wouldn’t go that far. Personally, I’m leaning towards massive incompetence..
We know the Secret Service detail was apparently a bit watered down, to what exact extent, still unsure, however, there was obviously a known/possible threat to the people inside the Secret Service area from outside that area. I’d be willing to bet money that they were a bunch of inexperienced Command staff at the command post who panicked and couldn’t make inappropriate decision about who takes action as the only snipers that really could do anything with the Secret Service ones, but the threat was from outside when technically a different agency should have handled it. Probably had to reference books, make phone calls, etc.

1) I heard news say how did he bring a ladder, unnoticed.
2)Then that the ladder was already built on the side.
3)Then how did he get up there without a ladder, he must have mingled with people inside the building and went up using stairs.

Why was there no over watch from the water tower some 90ft tall and a mere 100yrds from the assassin?

I’ve actually looked at the Google Maps aerial photography. There’s a water tower <100 yards east from where the shooter set up that was an obvious observation point that could have been useful for a large area, not just for watching the buildings the would be assassin used. It’s the tallest structure in the area by a good bit. That no one was up there with at least binocs and maybe a scoped rifle is crazy.
