Good point. Had he done that, and created a commotion, he would have effectively ‘sounded the alarm’ that would have alerted everyone that there was a threat. This might have enabled the snipers to neutralize it before he could take aim.
I am sure the cop called the threat into his radio.
Then the communications folks for the cops called it into the Secret Service communications command and control.
Unfortunately that is where the conspirators were.
They did nothing.
On purpose.
With malice.
As planned.
When investigators get to that point the comm SS guys will just say “we did nothing wrong”.
