The humor I found on Saturday was after the assassination attempt, Trump stood up and asked about his shoes.
Not that I blame him. They were probably expensive shoes. I thought about it and afterwards thought “I think he’ll be OK”.
We got a kick out of the shoe thing as well. When the TV showed that clip “Let me get my shoes”, an hour or so after the shooting I felt the same as you, “he’s alright”. It was a big relief.
I remember when Reagan was shot. Some liberal school kid asked; “Did they git him?” When told “No” he said “Dang! Maybe next time!”
