Not moments after someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump, the trending topic on X was, disgustingly, “they missed” and “how did they miss.”
Just how depraved do you have to be to sink that low?
There have been plenty of examples of division in our history, and no, you don’t need to go all the way back to the Civil War to find them — many Americans are still around who personally witnessed the political turmoil and political killings of the 1960s.
But today feels so uncivilized, so sad.
That someone would decide that they had to kill a former and perhaps future president is bad enough, but to have a hoard of online posters cheering them on?
The media likes to preach at us, saying we should have a “conversation” about radicalism. Will they talk about this?
There is hatred that has been carefully nourished, and it is out of control. It is not the story of one side, but only one side gets covered by the press.

Normal people knew there was a huge problem when antifa was running wild in the streets burning our cities down. But the media covered for them, and blamed the victims.
The left is clearly under the control of satan.
The democrats attract the resentful in society. These are the people who blame everyone else for everything they don't like.
Well, Like the antifa riots, it was a mostly peaceful assassination attempt.

While this event may lead to a substantial victory for Trump in November, it is important that we elect down-ballot Rs to every office that we can.
I believe the printing presses are at full throttle printing prior marked ballots for democrats. The ballots have been counted and will be on the news election night and the next day and the next month. The news media will unite under the guise of it has been a free and fair election.
I went lurking on Democratic Underground last night and they were upset and foaming at the mouth over the assassin missing President Trump. There were a few commenters that were upset at the behavior of their fellow travelers but they were a small minority.
It was sickenig on twitter!!
I just shut down because...why? Why get myself so upset?
Why was I shocked? They’re monsters.
Ya know, the night of the debate, I was THRILLED that Trump won.
But I took no joy in seeing an older dementia sufferer being embarrassed in front of the whole country.
I took joy in Trump winning...not in some older guy having dementa.
It makes me wonder if there is room for pity in this epic political battle going on.

The conservative side condemns any and all instances of violence or threats, every time. The leftist side promotes violence and threats, then pretends to call for calm and peace when their rhetoric is acted on, every time.
