Where were they located (sniper, Trump, and shooter)?
I would have shot the tip of his right finger off so he couldn’t pull a trigger.

The sniper team was on the topmost building to the right of Trumps red dot position.

Theconservativetreehouse.com has a video showing the SS sniper targeting the shooter BEFORE the shooter attempts to kill Trump. Then, after the SS lets the shooter take his shots, then and only then does the SS sniper take him out.
This looks like a setup with the SS being in on it. Only taking the shooter out after he had killed Trump.

One thing that made it even more obvious was the guy on the ground yelling and pointing and saying “hey, there’s a guy with a gun over there! Now he’s climbing the roof! Now he’s on the roof! (pointing) he’s right there!” for several minutes.

I’m just not ready to condemn the entire SS as corrupt. I have to believe the snipers were looking for what the bbc interviewed guy was pointing at, and that the shooter was staying just enough below the ridge of the building to make him hard to see from the sniper teams position. Once the shooter opened fire , the sniper was able to zero in on him and the sniper moved his weapon and fired. Again, I still think the SS failed to have people on the building the shooter used, and somebody should be fired.

If they are police snipers they had to request and get clearance to fire from SS.

then how did the counter-sniper fire 5-7 kill shots less than 3 seconds after the sniper fired his 3 shots? you could hear all of the shots and their timing, so there’s really no dispute about that ...
It doesn’t even look like the sniper took a shot. It looks more like he s**t his pants and let his rifle drop.
the REAL question is why didn’t the SS secure the AGR roof, an elevated, direct line-of-sight roof only 130 yards from Trump? ... And it was pretty much the only building in the vicinity, so it wasn’t like they had a whole bunch of rooftops to secure ...

so, suddenly, magically, the shooter became visible to the sniper when before hand the shooter had been invisible?
The Secret Service has had the process down pat for decades. Weeks before a venue to be secured the SS front teem determines what needs to be done. In cities they even weld the manhole covers down. They always have snipers on the highest buildings to cover any possible shooter's line of site.
This was no screw up, it was intentional.
Unless the SS were in on it, the shooter had to be hard to spot. The bbc interviewed guy said the shooter was bear crawling on the building, in other words keeping low. If he was below the ridgeline just until he popped up and fired, he may not have been seen until he raised his head and shoulders up above the ridgline to shoot. The sniper team were looking in that direction, but we don’t know they were looking at the shooter, they may have been looking for whatever the bbc guy was pointing at, and they may have been focused on ground level, expecting someone else to be covering those roofs. That there wasn’t any security on those roofs is going to get someone fired.
