The new cameras (like the Nikon Z9) shoot at incredible speed. The could shoot at about 100 frames a second. And with their light sensitivity, they can shoot at very high speeds continuously. And if they were shooting in video mode they could go in and “lift” out a frame for a photograph.
Three years ago they couldn’t catch this image.
(It also shows how damned fast that bullet was moving.)

That’s how frequently they can take pictures. It’s the shutter speed which allows them to capture something fast-moving. light sensitivity allows higher shutter speeds, but frames per second is more about video.
