lack of such details indicates to me he was not in the rally perimeter. ergo the distance for a pistol round to be effective is severely diminished. Which is why I’m not worried anymore.

Still begs the question why wasn’t the area cleared by the Secret Service. Seems very Sloppy to me, along with the fact they left him stand up and expose himself while shots were being fired. I am not an expert on this field, but the Secret Service seems to have failed miserably.

People not trained for it don't recognize what is happening right away. The gap in the shooting and then the continuation after everyone takes cover sounds like the shooter is just throwing rounds while fighting off those trying to stop him.
