This was an unspeakable and tragic crime his family wiped out in a senseless triple homicide...

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers šŸ˜¢

What happens when defending yourself is basically a crime.

Did the killer have a semi-auto crossbow? If not, how long does it take to reload? I’m not being facetious. I’m just saying I’d be doing something during the reloading interval.

There’s a reason those people are on an island.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced the government would look at the legislation around crossbows following ā€œthis awful incidentā€.

A 2nd amendment wouldn’t go amiss I feel but gun ownership is such an alien concept in the UK I doubt it will happen

It was a mom and adult daughters who were bound and gagged. Why one of them was not able to call for help while he was binding another is not known. He was the crazy ex of one of the daughters. There is a surviving daughter who lived elsewhere. Obviously the perp is deranged and a cold blooded killer who the daughter had the bad luck to be involved with.

Crossbows depending on type can be a real bitch to reload. Some newer types have become easier but still it takes enough time between shots for someone to escape. I would speculate that these women were tied up and then shot.

Crossbows can be real power killers. You can kill a grizzly bear or a adult male moose with a full sized crossbow the bolts will go completely through a 1200 lb moose. Reloading a 250# pull crossbow is done with a good strap and both arms in a rowing type motion. If these poor people were bound together it’s possible one shot went through all of them at once. I have shot 200lb adult boar with a crossbow the bolts was never recovered it broke the off side shoulder on the way out. Humans are frail compared to a boar or a moose. The UK has guns it’s a bugger to get the permit for one long arms mostly as pistols make the bobbies wet themselves.

I was thinking the same. Also three shots, three kills. Pretty good. So he was fast and good and highly motivated.

‘Gotta be more to this one.

Don’t let the last name of the perp fool you he is part of the cultural enrichment the UK has gotten in spades. They were bound up so anyone could execute someone who can’t move. Coward like most of his kind are, apparently the X boyfriend of one of the victim’s. On que Labor is already calling for crossbow control.

Watch. The UK will now ban crossbows. Maybe even bows and arrows.

Thereā€™s a reason those people are on an island.

If you've tasted their food or seen their women, you'll know why the smart ones developed a navy and left to colonize everywhere else long ago.

Depends on the draw weight. I have one that shoots 400fps with a 200# draw weight that I use string pulleys to recock and to set the string hooks and pull back and add aroow bolt Icould do it quickly in 10 seconds. I also have one that shoots 305fps with a 150# draw weight and 0% letoff that I can pull back by hand and reload in under 5 seconds. Either speed with a properly equipped broadhead will take out a whitetail buck with placement to the boiler room (heart lungs liver).

In the USA the media is considered to be the enemy within. How is it recognized in Great Britain?

Yeah, why didn’t the victims just shoot the guy?

Oh, that’s right, there are no citizens in Britain, just “subjects of the Crown.” Tolerate oppressive laws, die like dogs.

The perp "Kyle Clifford."

This is his brother "Bradley Clifford" serving a life sentence for a 2017 murder.

Just two good English boys.

Crossbows were banned in Europe back in 1139AD.

The Second Council of the Lateran in 1139 was a ban on using missile troops against Christians. Specifically, Canon 29 states that:

We prohibit under anathema that murderous art of crossbowmen and archers, which is hateful to God, to be employed against Christians and Catholics from now on.

Papal Encyclicals Online

And as with most weapons bans even today, it was ignored. Many US states used to have bans against crossbows till hunting with one was revived in Huntsville Ar in the 1950s.
