On Thursday evening, Joe Biden held what was widely dubbed his "big boy" press conference...
It was a rough start, for sure...
Of course, the speech was irrelevant. The questions and answers are what matter and it didn't go very well.
For starters, his "big boy" press conference was made up of pre-approved reporters.
In response to the first question, which was about Kamala Harris's ability to serve if he doesn't, he said, "I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be Vice President if she wasn't qualified to be president."
Joe Biden even seemed to think somebody else is the president.
And there were all kinds of brain malfunctions...
Make no mistake about it: this was not a great press conference, but it was better than his performance at the debate and his interview with George Stephanopoulos. And that's a problem for the Democrats. From the perspective of Biden's campaign, that's good enough for him to stay in the race.
Joe Biden's campaign is cratering, and this press conference won't convince the naysayers that everything is fine -- and it won't convince the holdouts that Biden should go. The situation remains at a stalemate, which means the Democratic Party will continue to be divided over what to do about Joe Biden.
At the moment, it looks like Joe Biden will survive to fight another day. But the forces hoping to get Biden to step aside are still growing. What's going to happen next? Who knows?

People often forgive misspeaking because THEY misspeak. Biden sounds like he knows about a lot of topics and doesn’t sound like a senile old man who can’t remember things. He’s out of breath, but that’s the only way he sounds strange. I don’t like anything he’s saying, but he doesn’t sound that much off the normal things you hear coming out of Democrats. I think he’ll come out of this well. Which doesn’t mean he won’t do badly later, but people won’t be watching many of the speeches later. They’ll have tuned in to this one, decided a lot of the hype was overdone, and they’ll tune out to the media hyperbole.

Up until 3 or 4 hours ago, the band wagon edia and liberals said Joe has to go.
Listening to the evening news, the liberal press is now saying how masterful Biden was. This mastery tonight reinforces that his debate was a one of bad night. He’s fine.
This Election is over. Now we need to beat the fraud.
The dementia drugs he receives appeared to work for 30-40 minutes and then, as one saw and heard, the confusion returned as the drugs slowly wore off. Some of the side effects seem to be a little hoarseness, and rapid or pressured speech.
Of course the claims Traitorjoe makes contain whatever random numbers came out of his mouth, as if that made them facts.

I agree with the author of this piece.
Biden performed badly, BUT he did seem better than in other recent outings. The drugs kicked in this time. Maybe that’s why the press conference was delayed: they drugged him up and waited until he was semi-functional before putting him out there.
It was indeed a no-win performance for the Dems... Biden didn’t do well enough to silence his critics, but he didn’t do poorly enough to assure his ouster from the ticket.
Democrats are mostly saying it was a big success, and it seems the voice have quieted for now. GOOD news for Trump, imo. Even Axelrod praised the presser.
Trump is very much on his mind. He can’t say what qualifications Kamala has (other than being a female of color). When his brain cells start clicking, searching for qualifications to be president, he thinks “qualified, Trump!” And says it.
They are stuck with him and they know it so it’s back to gaslighting they know Biden isn’t young anywhere
The longer Joe stays in the race the better. If it takes DU folks like you to keep him going, that’s just fine, we’ll take it.

I didn’t know President Trump used a She pronoun. lol. Also it looks as though either way Trump wins!!!
I agree. I didn’t notice his eyes being strange for the first part but suddenly, near his running down toward the end, I noticed the large, round, unblinking stare. Suddenly, the eyes returned to normal shape and he began blinking too frequently. Had to be the drugs running out. They certainly don’t last long. Wonder if they’re afraid of burning his brain out if they try to light him up longer.
117 days to go. Shrinks will get a lot of business from the Dems this year.
