Neither is Trump a rock hard conservative. He donated to democrats by the millions. He may be the most divorced president ever. He is okay with abortions with limits. His budgets were in big deficits every year.

But I will vote for him for 3rd time in 2024 because he is opposite of a neocon.

I’m sure that’s classified by the globohomo deep state. How many ‘volunteers’ and ‘advisors’ are over there now as we speak?

You are making my point.

Trump had the most milquetoast, white bread, moderate VP in 2020 and they STILL didn’t vote for him. It didn’t matter.

Nor will it matter this time.

If someone supports Trump they will vote for him. If they don’t, they won’t.

The only possible pickups are people that don’t have a strong opinion and may not vote. Those are the apolitical young white men. They aren’t going to care how moderate or immoderate the VP pick is. They may care if it is someone who is speaking to them on topics they care about though.

I wanted Abbott or Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I know it won’t be Abbott but maybe, just maybe, SHS has a chance.

I know my friends. They voted for Biden because they were tired of mean tweets and childish fights and unpresidential behavior. Biden seem like a good alternative, since he cloaked himself in middle of the road candidate in 2020.

Many of my friends and relatives still do not like Trump. A presidential acting VP could be the straw to break their resistance to Trump.

LBJ was one of the most powerful men in DC as Senate majority leader. He, Sam Rayburn\John McCormick in the House dominated legislation. JFK was the nobody! He was mediocre 1 term senator. (Not unlike Zero of Illinois!) His main accomplishment was looking good & sounding good on the new medium called TV. His family presented fabulously on that medium too. Everybody was determined to hustle off the national stage those tired old WWII veterans and bring on the Age of Rock-N-Roll! Let’s all sing Camelot along with Richard Harris. The marriage of modern media with glitzy politics! It’s a beautiful thing!

#57: "My line is Ukraine. If any candidate is all in on more stupid wars, I'm out."

BINGO! Exactly. I don't give a rat's ass about Ukraine. Not my circus; not my monkeys. I'm tired of decade after decade of pouring money down foreign rat-holes. Eisenhower warned us against the military industrial gravy train. The military industrial complex even had to kill President Kennedy to insure that the gravy kept-a-comin'.

Two things:

- Trump's voting base has changed a lot since 2016. He's gained minority voters, and lost white voters. And in 2024, he seems like he's getting more moderate and independent voters. In fact, he may be getting some voters to the left of moderate, like Michael Rapaport.

- Personalitywise, maybe Pence maybe milquetoast, but he was hardly moderate or considered moderate. Remember, he was picked to balance the ticket. And the media even let their cars show, buy jumping on Pence as unacceptably conservative, in general, or compared to Trump.

You hit the nail on the head! Burgum is another milksop.

Curious how so few of the EneMedia ever mention the People's top choice.

He is in no way, shape or form who the establishment wants. They want Tim Scott or Marco Rubio either of whom would be a disaster and would probably mean President Trump would be dead within a year.

The word “could” does the heaviest lifting of this entire thread.

He's gained minority voters, and lost white voters.

He has lost white women. White men (especially older ones) will still vote for him.

In reality, he has lost ALL women, not just the white ones.

They aren't coming back just because he picks a pussy (either figuratively or literally) as his VP.

Agree! I hear the same thing from apolitical friends, etc. We all need to remember we are not the only ones voting.
