Former President Donald Trump blasted George Clooney for only calling on President Biden to drop out of the upcoming election weeks after seeing him in his diminished condition at a fundraiser, telling the movie star he should “Get out of politics and go back to TV.”
Trump called out Clooney on Truth Social Wednesday night, saying he “turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are” after Clooney, 63, published an op-ed in the New York Times calling on Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race weeks after he co-hosted a fundraiser for him that brought in some $30 million.
“What does Clooney know about anything? He uses the Democrat ‘talking point’ that Biden, the WORST President in the history of the United States, has ‘saved our Democracy,'” Trump wrote in the post.
“No, Crooked Joe was the one who WEAPONIZED Law Enforcement against his political Opponent, who created the most devastating INFLATION in the history of our Country, who Embarrassed our Nation in Afghanistan, and whose crazy Open Border Policy has allowed millions of people to illegally pour into our Country, many from prisons and mental institutions,” he said.
Trump then added: “Crooked Joe Biden didn’t save our Democracy, he brought our Democracy to its knees.”
The former president offered the Hollywood star some advice, writing, “Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!”

Just to be clear, I don’t attach any importance to “insulting a lib”.
Clooney is an A lister, who’s actually one of the few actors who exudes old fashioned Hollywood elegance and chivalry. And that’s why he’s popular.
It’s also why he is trotted out to try to prop up Biden. Trump’s insult might actually inspire someone like Clooney, who’s probably not a bad guy at all, to look at himself in the mirror. In the same way that a Christian missionary goes out of their way to try to save the souls of drunkards, thieves, and prostitutes, who lost their way but still have the potential for redemption.
Trump’s brash style, along with the entire ruling class’ efforts to destroy him, have inspired many liberals to question their entire worldview, in a way that a McCain, Romney or Bush never could.
I don’t view blue haired leftists as my enemy who we need to “win” performative political victories over every few years. I view them as part and parcel of a society that has lost its way. And only brash men of candor like Trump and RFK Jr are capable of waking up the masses, across the entire political spectrum, to how corrupt our ruling class is.

The only reason Clooney ever got into Hollywood was because his aunt was Rosemary Clooney, well known singer and actress whose career started in the 50’s, and also his cousin, actor Miguel Ferrer who passed in 2017. George’s father is Nick Clooney, Rosemary’s brother. Nick Clooney is described as an “American journalist, anchorman, and television host.” He served as host for AMC Classic movies for approximately 5 years. Plenty of Hollywood influence to set him up in an acting career.
