A top ABC News executive was reportedly “furious” upon learning that George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic operative, came off as biased against President Biden.
Stephanopoulos, 63, was told by the network’s news division head, Debra O’Connell, that “he is a newsman who is expected to be objective,” according to Radar Online, after video footage emerged of the former Bill Clinton adviser telling a Manhattan passerby, “I don’t think [Biden] can serve four more years.”
The candid clip of Stephanopoulos, published by TMZ on Tuesday, reportedly sparked an internal meeting at ABC, which resulted in O’Connell asking that the “Good Morning America” and “This Week” host apologize for his remark – which he did. “Earlier today I responded to a question from a passerby. I shouldn’t have,” the news anchor told Puck News in a statement hours after his comments went viral.

Stephy has been around media his entire working life, he knows every public word spoke is being recorded. Don’t tell me this is some “passerby”...he set this up so he could say what he thought (i.e. what the Clintons thought) that Biden should do without coming right out and saying it.

This sounds like ABC is not going to apply its editorial bias towards replacement. They are taking the WH seriously.
There is no pending decision. The decision is made.
FR should not fall into some sort of trap of thinking that this upheaval we are watching is going to have any impact whatsoever on the vote tally in November. Not a single one of these people who take the position that Biden must be removed are going to stay home in November. 99% of Biden votes are anti-trump votes. They are not pro Biden votes.
Take no delight in what is happening, because it’s not going to have any impact whatsoever in November.
I won’t believe the switch until I see it.
That said, Harris and Brain Dead odds to be the Dem nominee were dead even today.
Just yesterday, Brain Dead was a sizable favorite over Harris.

One other thing, this is really, really good for us longer term.
When Brain Dead runs and gets destroyed, they’re going to blame his health.
Since 2010, we have been taking power away from them at the ballot box. We have been voting our way out of it.
They lost 1047 elected offices under Obama. They’ve gotten some back but are still down a ton.
They have never reconciled to the repudiation of fundamental transformation.
Brain Dead’s health means one will not be forthcoming after this election too.
