Thanks for your reply-I know just what you are talking about 1st hand-almost everyone I know is in financially tighter circumstances then they were pre-FJB-me included. I became a widow suddenly in the middle of the obamaeconomy-lost most of everything-sold off the equipment in hubby;s woodworking business to stay afloat until I went to work for my best friend’s small construction business. I was almost back to being okay when FJB won the steal-but now it is 10 steps back, stretching every dollar for gas, groceries, etc...
Fortunately I live in a rural area-while there is no fast food within over 20 miles, whatever I don’t grow to eat-like eggs-I can get by bartering with neighbors, or at the small chain grocery store 20 miles away in the nearest town. their prices are good and they stock mostly organic Texas and Mexico produce, grass fed/free range meat, etc-there are a lot of naturalists like me living out here in BFE and that store caters to us by carrying lots of organic, fresh stuff along with all the processed foods and having a nice deli. they also stock Bob’s Red Mill and Arrowhead Mills stone ground flour for those of us who bake our own bread and other stuff.
I pray that things turn around soon for us-democrats are really trying everything to stop it from happening-including assassination, but I think Karma has begun to bite them in the ass-and it’s a good thing...
I like Arrowhead Mills and Bob’s Red Mill, too. But, nowadays, the only thing I make with flour are pancakes. I had a beautiful oven, but then I had to move. I miss my oven the most.
I’m so sorry about your husband. You have lived through some tough times. Hopefully, we both will see better times when Trump is back in office. This country cannot survive another four years with a Dem in the White House.
