Singer-actress Bette Midler, star of Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2, suggested that President Joe Biden arrest Republican members of Congress and allow the FBI to use deadly force in order regain Democrat House majority.
“Now that Joe has total immunity, many are urging him to be GOP ruthless. Here’s a suggestion for implementing his new powers,” Midler wrote in a Friday X post, sharing a screenshot from an opinion piece published by The New Republic.

Bette Midler, along with many others is just plain ignorant of the Constitution, the law and the actual meaning of the recent SCOTUS decision about presidential immunity.
The Supreme Court did not give presidents immuinty from anything, not even anything a president claims is “official duties”, as the Constitution and the law still hold, and they give no president ability to deny them. A president violating the oath of office is still impeachable by Congress. The only “presidential actions” the court’s recent decision grants immunity for is actions that are clearly within the Chief executives discretion, according to the Constitution and the law. Anything else can potentially find a presiddent in trouble,

I used to fear Democratic majority rule for a variety of reasons. Recent events have narrowed it down to one. They are truly too stupid to be put in any position of authority.

A Democrat already tried what she is suggesting--the guy who tried to massacre the Republicans practicing for the Congressional baseball game. If Steve Scalise had not had some armed guards (because of his position) the guy probably would have killed many of them, and Scalise might have died if there had not been a doctor there among the Republican Congressmen. Fortunately the only one who died was the shooter.
