President Joe Biden, in his first television interview since his CNN debate with Donald Trump, brushed off the poor performance as a "bad episode" and said he alone was to blame for what transpired.
… “Did you ever watch the debate afterwards?" Stephanopoulos asked Biden.
"I don't think I did, no," the president said.
But did he know how badly it was going while he was on stage?
"Yeah, look. The whole way I prepared, nobody's fault, mine. Nobody's fault but mine. I-- I prepared what I usually would do sitting down as I did come back with foreign leaders or National Security Council for explicit detail. And I realized-- partway through that, you know, all-- I get quoted the New York Times had me down, ten points before the debate, nine now, or whatever the hell it is. The fact of the matter is, what I looked at is that he also lied 28 times. I couldn't-- I mean, the way the debate ran, not-- my fault, nobody else's fault, no one else's fault."
"But it seemed like you were having trouble from the first question in, even before he spoke?" Stephanopoulos asked.
"Well, I just had a bad night," Biden said.
ABC News offered a similar interview opportunity to Trump but he declined.

Orange Man Joe is certain nobody is more qualified to be president than himself. Delusions of grandeur. Off the rails. George is not convinced.

Even hard left Jonathan Karl is defeated by the interview. Martha Raddish blames Biden’s inner circle for pushing him to continue the debacle.
This interview was set up all for Biden’s advantage, as was the debate. He still looked bad, and our nation’s problems aren’t going to give him all the breaks.
Biden has lost his biggest allies, the news media.
We are getting off course in all this discussion of bidumbs obvious dementia when we all should really be focusing on his destruction of the country.
He seemed out of breath.
Did Biden get asked about his Border Patrol union endorsement.
The Democrats are all in on destroying the country as quickly as possible—while looting what they can.
Their change of titular leadership is ultimately irrelevant.
I’ve been watching politics closely since 1968... I’ve worked on campaigns... I’ve worked with political parties at the local level...
People, here is the truth:
Joe Biden will NOT be the Democrat candidate. Take that to the bank. Most likely, it will be Kamala.
Nothing will change until after Trump announces his VP pick... or, until Trump is nominated.
But, it’s OVER for Joe. Not a snowball’s chance in HELL.
The interview was focused on Biden’s cognitive decline, abysmal poll numbers and need to drop out of the 2024 race.
His skin looks like spam with a tan. Lol
He’s orange again. And what happened to his upper lip? Did his nurse shave it off?
What’s with Joe holding the pen? Anyway…
The pen? His handlers told him this ABC thing was going to be a big test of his campaign.
“Okay nice chatting with you. Now where’s the spelling test?”
“Biden claiming the all the 28 lies by Trump derailed him.”
And he wasn’t and to list all 28? Even 10?
He wants it handy in case Hunter’s pardon needs to be signed before he expires…
