Former President Donald Trump challenged President Biden to another presidential debate — this time with fewer rules and no moderators — where Biden can prove his “competence or lack thereof.”
The 78-year-old presumptive GOP presidential nominee called for the “no holds barred” debate in a post on Truth Social Thursday afternoon, a week after Biden’s first debacle.
“I have the answer to the Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence Puzzle — Let’s do another Debate, but this time, no holds barred,” Trump said in a post. “An all-on discussion, with just the two of us on stage, talking about the future of our Country.”
Trump suggested the proposed debate’s ratings would “blow everything away,” over the new format even after the first debate, hosted by CNN, reeled in 47.9 million viewers.
The proposed new rules would be a back-and-forth affair between the two political rivals, a drastic change from the ones they had agreed to a week prior, which was co-moderated by CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
During the first debate, each candidate only had 2 minutes per answer, followed by one minute of rebuttals and their microphones were turned off when they ran out of time, or while the other was speaking.
Trump, 78, claimed his format would allow Biden, 81, to explain the many policies he has enacted during his first term have been seen as bad for the American people.
“Let Joe explain why he wants Open Borders, with millions of people, and many violent criminals from parts unknown, pouring into our once great Nation, or why he wants Men Playing in Women’s Sports,” Trump said.

Trump is clearly winning now. I don’t see why he is doing this. If he were wiser, he would cancel the second debate and say it’s because he’s against elder abuse. No reason to let Biden back into it...

My rebuttal is that Trump planned this all along in agreeing to the first debate. If he knew that Biden was incapable of debating even at the Elementary School level and agreed to an event accepting all of the ridiculous accommodations for Biden’s mental handicap, that he intended to challenge Biden to exactly the opposite. He’s calling him out and Biden is in no way capable of accepting.
In chess, this would be one opponent saying “Check”.
IMO our best hope is having The Big Guy as the nominee in November. Nobody can be sure what might happen if Heels Up Harris,Big Mike,Governor Hair Gel or the Governors of MI or PA is the nominee.

That’s why his campaign was conducted from the basement of one of his several multi million dollar mansions.And that’s why they appointed an individual...or group of individuals...to hide behind the curtain and be “The Wizard” for the last 3.5 years.
Joe is yesterday’s news. The jig is up so there’s no point.
If Trump wants to show his mettle, move on to RFK Jr. and/or kamala.

Trump would be wise to talk only about the issues not about the candidate. I have thought that Biden would not be the Dem candidate for at least a year. The Democrat policies are so insane such as the first two listed: open borders and men playing in women’s sports. That would be enough for a majority of Americans to vote Republican.
Trump should also challenge Kamala Harris to a debate saying that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for President Kamala Harris.

Trump is forcing the donkeys hand. Everyone knows FJB can not possibly agree to another debate. This is not piling on, this is just allowing the POTUS to put his big-boy pants on a defend his record. Ok, he had a cold, he was jet lagged, whatever BS they want to concoct. He is giving FJB a do-over which of course will not happen.
This is just like folks here on FR telling Trump that agreeing to the first debate was a big mistake. We know how that turned out.
Trump is playing this like a Stratovarius.
