Jill and Hunter Biden are taking command behind the scenes at the White House, urging President Joe Biden to fire staff they believed were of disservice to him and to fight on as the Democratic nominee.
Meanwhile, the president's sister, Valerie Biden Owens, who has served as Biden's 'gut check' and closest adviser, is on her way to the White House for the July 4th celebrations, where she will have face-to-face meetings regarding her brother's re-election campaign.
The trio's support for the president comes amid reports he has told allies he is considering dropping out of the race. The White House denies this, saying Biden is in it to win it. Biden and his team are working frantically to shore up support among party members, lawmakers, governors and donors to reassure them he can beat Donald Trump in November.
Jill, Hunter and Valerie are the three most important people in any decision Joe Biden makes about his future.
He listens to them the most. They would need to give their blessing from him to exit the presidential race. But a new report from NBC News reveals how the trio is circling the wagons in support of Biden staying in the race. But Hunter was at his father's side, walking in behind him at a ceremony in the East Room for Medal of Honor winners and, according to reports, joining in meetings in the West Wing.
The entire family will be at the White House to celebrate the Fourth of July.
It's the second time in five days they will be together.
Among the conversations was talk about whether or not to fire senior White House adviser Anita Dunn and her husband, Bob Bauer, who is Biden's personal lawyer.

I think what we are witnessing now is a sort of democrat civil war between the Obama faction and the Biden faction. Many may think Obama is the Godfather of the democrat party and controls all the levers of power, but this isn't as true as it may appear at first glance. The Biden family has spent the last four years putting their own loyalists into positions of power in the party leadership so it's a much more even fight than it appears at first glance, and the Biden's may actually have an advantage over the Obamas.
In civics textbooks, leaders are supposed to take one for the team. In real life, leaders understand that teams exist to take one, or as many as necessary, for them. Leaders don’t survive for long enough to get to the top by being anyone else’s bullet sponge.
The surprising thing isn’t that Biden isn’t gonna just quietly step aside, the surprising thing is that a huge chunk of the media and the Democratic Party (but I repeat myself) seriously entertained the idea that they could force him out, and started the hit-job cycle to try to make it happen.
Watching the walk backs will be fascinating, and especially for media figures putting the genie back in the bottle will likely be a massive challenge after spending a few days airing the dirty laundry of “Now It Can Be Said”
This whole thing will become more and more of a shitshow as the year progresses, it’s gonna be fascinating to watch. To discover that some of these people are as clued into human motivation and election mechanics as the average Freeper is eye-opening. These Democrats are supposed to be professionals - this stuff is supposed to be their bread and butter, whereas the average Freeper is just using a keyboard to issue an extended belch.

[There seem to be this myth in left wing circles (and quite a few right-wing circles as well). That Obama is running the democrat party and the Biden Whitehouse behind the scenes and all Obama has to do is tell Biden to step down and he will in an instant. I’ve always found this a bit hard to believe because, by most insider accounts, the Biden family pretty much detested the Obama’s and Jill and Hunter have been rather vocal about it. They even go as far as blaming Obama for Trump getting elected in 2016 because he put all his resources in for Hillary instead of Joe.

Now that the dust has settled, here’s what I believe happened with the debate:
The war between Biden machine & the Obama machine spilled into the open
Democrat leaders on both sides are truly panicking about Biden’s crashing poll numbers
Biden knows if he’s out of power, his crime family will be prosecuted and disgraced and Jill Biden has gotten way to used to the lifestyle - she won’t give it up
Obama team knows their mafia operation will be prosecuted under Trump as well
So both sides are desperate and fighting over whose strategy is best to beat Trump
Obama machine launched a final sneak attack to pressure Joe to drop out after the debate that they knew he would be awful in
It didn’t work
Biden met with Obama the next day, made clear he wasn’t quitting, and now Obama machine puppets are all backtracking, including Obama himself
It’s now clear that Biden controls the DNC machine while Obama controls the media machine
The Democrat machine as a whole is begrudgingly unifying behind Biden in hopes that he can pull it off
But make no mistake - these people are truly scared of what’s coming down the road for them under Trump
I’ve never seen them act this desperately
These are not the moves of a confident & powerful regime
They are divided and desperate
If Trump wins, we will truly destroy the Deep State and they know it
