President Biden pledged Wednesday night during a meeting with Democratic governors at the White House to regain his footing in his reelection campaign after a faltering debate performance last week, according to several governors who took part in the gathering. Biden’s events in coming days are being closely watched as he and aides seek to tamp down continuing angst over what transpired.
Biden plans to host a Fourth of July barbecue with active-duty service members Thursday afternoon, and another event in the evening with military and veteran families.
Biden is “absolutely not” dropping out as the Democratic presidential nominee in his race against former president Donald Trump, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday.
Both the Biden campaign and the White House are hoping that events in the days after the Fourth of July holiday will reassure voters and party insiders. They point out that no senior Democrats have called on President Biden to step down as the party’s presidential nominee.

In his condition, he needs to repeat in front of a mirror: Going forward, today is the best I’ll ever be.
And at his age and condition, the fall will be so rapid that as we approach the election the change since this debate will be obvious.
George Snuffalotofpus will give Biden a softball interview this week and by next week, they’ll invent a new crisis and this debate debacle will be off the table. Old news.
And of course the lying bastids in the media will pretend they’ve always supported Joe.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but at his age and condition there is a strong possibility that he won’t even meet the minimum requirement to run in the election - the ability to fog a mirror. How will they deal with that? It’s a sincere question.

How does he propose to do that. You cannot undo old age. He had nearly two weeks to recover from jet lag (an excuse) and a week at Camp David with 16+ aides, afternoon naps, light schedule, etc. He should have been well-prepped and staged for the debate, yet he face-planted. It will happen again. Besides, consider that nearly every event he does, there are verbal flubs, shuffling, blank stares, mumbling, and disorientation. He’s old.

The dems, the media, & Biden and his family are trying to convince us that the debate was a one off or ‘bad night’ when everyone with a brain knows it wasn’t that. This is not a case of ‘regaining footing’ or ‘getting back up after being knocked down’. Everyone who has had an elderly relative or friend in terminal decline knows this.
