Flynn would be an enormous mistake as VP. He does not bring in any new votes from the middle, which is essential to give Trump any chance to overcome the Cheat State. No other criteria matters.
Flynn should be the czar of dismantling the Deep State.
Flynn might have many good qualities, but the Deep State walked all over him last go round. He might have learned something from the experience, but the next round requires someone with a very strong grasp of the law (enough to stay out of trouble and ahead of legal games the swamp will play), plus a dose of ruthlessness.
My lasting impression of Flynn is that he’s dumber than a bag of rocks. That alone should remove him from any consideration for any important position in a Trump administration.
