That's following last week's 6-3 Supreme Court ruling that failed to settle a legal dispute over whether state abortion bans override the federal law that requires hospitals to stabilize patients. If mom’s life is in danger, it’s probably along the lines of an ectopic pregnancy, which isn’t viable anyway.

I went out of my way to ensure that I would never face that issue with the health problems I have, because a pregnancy would literally kill me - I was sterilized, and insurance covered it. Why women who have risk factors like mine don’t take similar steps, I have no idea.

Ectopic pregnancies are chance, so that is understandable - and very dangerous. It makes me sick to know so many healthy women are so careless.
