Pro Abortion amendment qualifies for the November ballot in Nevada

CV NEWS FEED // Nevada officials have certified a proposed amendment to enshrine abortion in the state’s constitution, slated to appear on the November ballot.

According to NBC News, pro abortion organization Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom announced in May that it had gathered over 200,000 signatures from registered voters — exceeding the 103,000 required to advance the proposal for ballot qualification.

On June 28, The Nevada secretary of state’s office confirmed the verification of these signatures, affirming that all criteria had been fulfilled for the amendment to be included on the November ballot.

In Nevada, abortion is currently legal up to the 24th week of pregnancy.

The proposed amendment seeks to embed language that would legalize abortion until “fetal viability,” meaning the moment in which theoretically the unborn baby can survive outside the mother’s womb.

Under state law, even if the measure passes in November, voters would need to approve it again in 2026 before formally amending the Nevada constitution.

Nevada is now one of six states presenting the future of abortion expansion directly to voters in the 2024 election, alongside Florida, Maryland, New York, South Dakota, and Colorado.

We can’t win these. Even Kansas passed a similar law.

We might not like it, but it became a state issue, and this is a state voting on it.

Should we do NOTHING? No, if we feel strongly about it we should lobby against it.

I mean, after all we wouldn’t want to taint the sparkling clean reputation of Nevada now would we?

So, murder will be allowed until when a baby is viable. These measures are hard to stop, the challenge how it affects everyone else on the ballot.

I asked ChatGPT 4o, what is the generally accepted week of pregnancy that a baby in good health and has access to modern health care becomes viable?

ChatGPT answers: The generally accepted week of pregnancy at which a baby becomes viable—meaning the baby has a reasonable chance of survival outside the womb with modern health care—is typically around 24 weeks. This is often referred to as the point of viability.

It gives the following sources:

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG): According to ACOG, viability is usually reached at around 24 weeks of gestation, though it can vary based on the specific circumstances and the availability of advanced medical care .

Mayo Clinic: The Mayo Clinic states that babies born between 24 and 28 weeks of gestation have a significantly higher chance of survival compared to those born earlier. They emphasize that survival rates improve with each additional week of gestation .

National Institutes of Health (NIH): Research from the NIH indicates that with current medical technology, the threshold of viability is generally considered to be around 24 weeks, though some infants born slightly earlier may also survive with intensive medical intervention.

So, based on today, that means up to 24 weeks it will be okay to murder a baby.

That's the way it goes. It's up to 24 weeks. Apparently, that's what the citizens in Florida wants. So they'll pass the referendum with 60% of the vote. Trump said it himself now that it's a state's issue.

That might be true nationally...but if there's an abortion thing on the ballot in a state it will motivate Maoists. Ditto with a marijuana referendum.

The harpies will be out in droves.

Here is an image of an abortion-loving harpy. Perhaps by coincidence, it bears a strong resemblance to Joy Behar.

That’s why things like murder and slavery and other heinous acts must be federal.
There is no scholar that thinks murder is a state crime oh, nor did they think that about slavery.
There are many more heinous abortions goi g on now that before overturning roe.
Some crimes cannot be state defined. It is mob rule at the state level.
