President Joe Biden will sit down with ABC News on Friday for his first television interview since last week's presidential debate.
The president's poor performance in the debate has garnered calls for him to drop out of the race by politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Biden will speak to "Good Morning America" and "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos for the interview. A first look will air on the Friday, July 5, edition of "World News Tonight with David Muir" with portions airing on Saturday and Sunday on "Good Morning America."
The extended interview will air Sunday, July 7, on "This Week" and Monday's episode of "Good Morning America."

Not clear what is going to happen. I offer 2 possibilities.
First is what I hope that Biden will be given a softball interview to prop him up. I want Biden to stay in. He can’t win after that debate. People can’t unsee what they saw. The spin that Biden is back or competent will largely not succeed. Accordingly, our side should shut up about Biden’s infirmity until after the Democratic convention. We want him to stay in. Then afterwards bombard the airways with the scenes from the debate lambasting democrats for being concerned with power rather than the good of the country. This should be hung like albatross over all democratic candidates.
The other option is for Biden to get savaged (Stehphy becomes Brutus to Biden’s Ceasar) to put the mortal wound in. The rationale for this is a last-ditch effort to salvage an unsalvageable election. They know Biden can’t win.
That's exactly what we saw happen during the debate. The 2 minute tape delay allowed CNN to edit and delete most of the Biden eff ups. But they couldn't deal with them all. Even with the commerical breaks which allowed CNN to reset the clock.
Stephanopolous is a Democrat hack.

One amusing (and rarely discussed) element of the debate was Biden’s closing statement.
Some crazy Democrat said it was Biden’s best moment so I went and listened to it.
Biden mumbled incoherently the entire time.
Editing can’t save that.
