Is France Heading for a Civil War?
NY Sun ^ | 28 June 2024 | Michel Gurfinkiel

If the National Rally passes the 289 seats limit, Mr. Macron is supposed to call upon Mr. Bardella to form the cabinet. This would be seen as a casus belli by the militant far left. Alternatively, Mr. Macron may cite law and order concerns to bar Mr. Bardella from the premiership and form an “apolitical” or “technical” cabinet. A move that the right may construe as a coup d’Etat.

The far left’s “civil war” threats should not be ignored and are not. Shops and restaurants are already barricading. Mayors — including the most liberal ones — are begging for police and gendarmerie deployment.

They fear “punitive raids” by the well-trained urban guerilla fighters known as the black bloc — a kind of left-wing “Invisible Empire” that periodically pops up in France and in other European countries — and large scale youth riots and arsons, just like one year ago.

I was going to suggest a whiff of grapeshot. But I suppose Macron would use it against supporters of the National Rally, and not against the rioting left.

it will devolve into ethnic warfare between the French and the Muslim invaders

Finally a conflict that would justify the use of U.S. weapons and perhaps troops to support, unlike all the stupid Mideast wars and Ukrainian brother-war.

Whenever the right wins an election the left gets violent. We need to shut this crap down! The old fashioned way will work too...hangings and guillotines.

I have no confidence that the right will be allowed to win in the second round.“

All of this is too scare the French so the left wins round 2

A bunch of bullies, mad because the election didn’t go their way. Are these mostly the “French” migrants causing these disturbances? le Pen wants to deport them, and I don’t blame her. Are we far behind?

Neo-Marxist globohomo again demanding 100% pure fealty to their agenda - or else

Le Pen is a 2024 version of Charles de Gaulle, nothing more or less. Exactly like De Gaulle she’s still in favor of the French State, somewhat suspicious of entanglements with NATO, wants more leeway and independence for France from Brussels, NATO and DC, and promotes French language and culture.

She is promoting nothing new or very different - except that the Neo-marxists and WEF globalists paint her as a devil.

At least we can be done with that silly bleating about defending democracy.

Paris is lovely and Nice sure is nice,
And Marseillaise is charming with champagne and ice,
But you, stinky Frenchman, haven't a clue.
Pew, Stinky Frenchman.
Frog you.

I'm guessing less. Less backbone.

I hope for France's sake that I'm wrong.

The far left won’t allow the right to rule even if they win the election? Prelude to November here?

More like America's 2020 election was a prelude to France 2024.

It’s not going to be a civil war in the sense that everybody picks up a gun and goes out into the field. It will be more like what France experienced in the 1960s over Algeria. A small “Secret Army Organization” setting up terror acts. Similar but more intense than what Germany, Italy, Japan and the US went through in the 70s. Maybe a better analogy would be to what Latin American countries went through in the 1970s and 1980s — Tupamaros, Shining Path, FARC — except the French extremists are unlikely to rule over strong rural bases. Not many jungles in France.

In other words, your vote there is meaningless. You may only vote if they are certain you will lose.

Indeed, it will be ugly. The Islamic invasion (aided and abetted by the traitors in the French ruling elite) has succeeded so far now that it will be very difficult for the good French people to get their country back. IF they’re ready to fight for it. It is not absolutely clear that they are.

So long as someone rolls out some guillotines for testing. We need some working models for Feb ‘25.
