Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis received some possibly bad news on Monday following a ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in Donald Trump's presidential immunity case in relation to his federal election interference case, according to legal experts...
Following the decision, some legal experts speculated on what impact the ruling could have on the case in Fulton County, Georgia. Trump was indicted by Willis last August in a 2020 election interference case following a phone call he had with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in January 2021 when he asked him to "find" more than 11,000 votes ...
"This ruling also affects Georgia prosecution, which is based on the same conduct, though even as president, Trump can't torpedo a state case," former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.
Former federal prosecutor Michael McAuliffe told Newsweek that "to the extent that the Georgia state RICO case relies on acts that are core presidential duties, or at a minimum official, then the new immunity case would present a new barrier to the government's prosecution."
...former federal prosecutor and CNN legal analyst Elie Honig spoke about the ruling on Monday and said that "the Georgia case, the Fani Willis indictment, that one is in big trouble."
He added: "That alleges essentially, largely, the same conduct as in Jack Smith's January 6 case. So, they're going to have in Georgia, the same exact immunity issues."
that phone call probably can't be used as evidence now
Fani has faded from the scene due to her own ghettopotamus excesses.
But, yes, the USSC ruling today is very likely the nail in her coffin.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving ‘Rat. May her descent from public influence be swift, and sure.
Oh, it was going to be glorious! The girl boss who brought down the evil Trump! Congress? Senate? Even Governor some day? The brilliant future rolled out before her. Now some other hack will get to climb the ladder. And there’s plenty willing to eclipse her, once the collapse of this farce is complete
Dang! Your reply was bordering on poetic. No sarcasm, just respect!
I’m no poet... best I can do is, “sux to be Fani”. ;-)
Anytime the Potus is slappin’ down beyotches, that’s official business.
And all of it ruined when she couldn't resist the lure of lavish vacations with her bought and paid for boy-toy on the taxpayer's dime. Proving to everyone she was just another cheap piece of hood garbage and a total idiot to boot.
She’s not smart enough to understand what SCOTUS rulings mean, and beyond that, she doesn’t care.
She gets paid to be a woke, black, feminist huckster. That’s what she knows and focuses on.
Thank you! And “sux to be Fani” captures it just fine!
Love how they put find in quotes to make it seem like he is telling him to make up votes. They conveniently leave the rest of the sentence off where he says there were over 20,000 illegal votes and all he needed was to find 11,000 among those votes.
Deliberate lie by Newsweek.
Trump asked Raffensperger to find 11,000 ineligible voters, which would nullify Biden's 11,000 vote Georgia victory, and require a new election.
Raffensperger said no - because - most of the provably ineligible voters in Georgia are Blacks, who failed to update their new voting address within six months.
Repeat - a deliberate and malicious lie by Newsweek.
And the State has failed to do anything about all of her illegal conduct.
Words have meaning and facts matter. Trump did not ask or instruct Raffensperger to find anything. He was speaking about what his campaign needed to do, and when the preliminary totals appear to show him down by x votes in an environment of indicators showing multiple fraud dimensions, it is hardly surprising that he said “we need to find x votes.” As in we, the Trump campaign. He did not say “Brad, you need to find x votes” or “Brad I instruct you to find us x votes”. He said something very specific, which someone in Raffensperger’s office surreptitiously recorded and then leaked.
I practiced occasionally in Fulton County in white collar criminal matters when Paul Howard was the Fulton DA. I would describe the DA’s office as incompetence, institutionalized. So, Fanni Willis seems to be carrying on the tradition.
When her persecution of Trump finally blows away, I wonder what it means for Jenna Ellis and the others who pled guilty. They appear to look very stupid at this point.
Fani, she lay low.
“They conveniently leave the rest of the sentence off where he says there were over 20,000 illegal votes and all he needed was to find 11,000 among those votes.”
So Trump was asking the Georgia Secretary of State (Brad Raffensperger) to find 11,000 illegal votes so that he could win the election?
That doesn’t sound right.
“ghettopotamus” is Fanny [funny?].
She needs to get the WEF/S0r0$ to fund her furthur.
That recording should involve both Florida and interstate federal law.
At least one of those three jurisdictions requires consent from all parties for taping. I forget which one.
Bad luck for the Defendants who pleaded out. I doubt they are stupid - just realistic.
The prosecuting county is overwhelmingly Democrat, so guilty verdicts were guaranteed on all charges.
Unless they are wealthy, they would have been bankrupted by legal fees.
LOL,
You are not wrong.....
Jenna Ellis -—> Stupid [Apparently].
