A Mexican national, Erasmo Zuniga-Angel, 30, has been handed a 24-month sentence in federal prison after illegal re-entry into the U.S. Zuniga-Angel, originally from Buena Vista, Hidalgo, Mexico, was caught with a group of five others on May 4, 2023, after they crossed the Rio Grande, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas.
Court documents reveal, Zuniga-Angel's prior deportation took place on Nov.
18, 2022, following a conviction for illegal re-entry and sexual misconduct involving a child in Missouri.
The U.S. Border Patrol agents who encountered Zuniga-Angel's group, learned of his criminal history during the arrest.
U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza confirmed the sentencing, highlighting the consequences of re-entry for deported felons. The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jayvee Rhoda.
He wanted to stay so we accommodated him.
One down, one million to go.
Deport to Ukraine
Did they give him an ankle bracelet and tell him to report to jail in 2 months?
How odd that such pro-law & order stories emerge four months before the election. How very odd.
only 2 years for deviant conduct with a child???
NOT ENOUGH
70 MILLION to go
I used to teach GED preparation classes in English and Spanish. All of the Spanish speaking adult students were legal immigrants.
One day, something led us to talking about avoiding jail. Many of the students wanted their GED to qualify for better employment. We talked about keeping your record clean, so background checks would come back positive.
I write all this as a preface to one comment I can never forget. The student stated “C’mon, teacher, the jails in America are like the hotels in Mexico.” I held back a smile and stated something close to “well, that said, you still want to avoid it.” We talked about who you associate with, and how supposed ‘friends’ can be your worst enemy.
The border problem is easily solved and it is brutal but humane. It is called a mine field. If you cross it you will die. At the same time we must have legal entrances to our border, which I have crossed frequently and displayed my nationality to the officials and had no problems.
Why is a minefield moral? Thousands of illegals cross the border and die each year due to the cartels and desert heat and women endure rape. No sane person would pay the cartel money to be smuggled into the USA if they knew the last barrier would be a mine field. A minefield would actually decrease death as they would not come.
Mexico does not give a damn as all these illegals are simply transits on the way to the United States. What the hell would they do if our border was blocked and all those illegals were in Mexico? They would block them at their Southern Borders and points of access. Mexico does not want them.
Reality is ugly.

Mug shot.
It used to be that the illegals used deportation as a free trip home to visit family.
At this point, illegal re-entry should carry the death penalty, immediately carried out.
Well, that’s one.
Only 7 million to go...
My friends. Sending them back will not stop them. The 5 years in the klink the democrats voted down won’t either. Maybe a couple of nights in the Gaybar hotel. It’s gotta be penalties on employers the rat DA’s won’t enforce. Employers need to fear what law enforcement COULD do.
Since so many illegals work in the trades, let them build our border fence!
I only use the exact original thread title, per FR rules.
