Tactical point here: Man, oh man, if I were a Demoncrat in power, I would move quickly to take advantage of this USSC ruling today and move into a role to promptly round up and jail all opponents on the Right, just as MAGA has been threatening the libs for years in speeches and the like. Now they will have the tools in my estimate. It can be classified under “official duties” if assessed as a national security threat. The former President’s attorney (John Sauer — Rhodes Scholar, Harvard Law School grad, Supreme Court clerk, former solicitor general of Missouri) argued for as much for immunity even in the case of Seal Team Six being used to take out opponents. Heard it live on the radio, Supreme Court session on this case.
