It wasn’t even a whole missile — just a booster that broke loose from the static test platform!

Crimea was :
Tatar for 500 years from 1239 to 1783
Tsardom of Russia for 134 years from 1783 to 1917

NOTE that the USSR explicitly said that it was NOT a successor state to the Tsardom of Russia. Hence it was a completely separate entity.
The Russian federation said that it was/is a successor state to the USSR, so it is NOT a successor state to the Tsardom of Russia.

A separate SSR for 33 years from 1922 to 1945
Ukrainian for 60 years from 1954 to 2014
Russian Federation for 10 years

Hence it has been Ukrainian for the second longest after it has been Tatar Khanate.

the least amount of time it has been Russian

Biden is a loser.

Putin doesn’t care about Muscowy - he’s lost men, materiel, prestige etc.

he just cares about his ego - hubris

You’re wrong about the tatars, the greeks were there many centuries longer

Not really -- the "greeks" until 1821 were really many different nations: and that was highly the case before the Roman empire: the Acheans, Ionians etc. competed and spoke at times mutually incomprehensible languages

Furthermore, the various Hellenes established CITIES on the Taurian peninsula: Sevastopol was founded by Dorians from Heracles Pontica, Theodosia and Panticapaeum were established by Milesians

There was a Kingdom of the Bosporus which was basically an overlord of the independent Greek city states

It was not "Greek"

Crimea was part of the Tsardom of Russia from 1783 to 1917 — check the historical facts.

The USSR explicitly said it was not a successor state to the Tsardom.
The Russian Federation said that it WAS a successor state to the USSR, so it was NOT a successor state to the Tsardom of Russia

It was a separate Soviet Socialist republic from 1922 to 1945

Crimea was part of Russia from 1945 to 1954 — only 9 years.

Crimea was part of Ukraine from 1954 to 2014 — 60 years.

It is nonsensical to argue about the internal political division of territories within the Soviet Union because the Soviet Union was Russia.

Nope - not by it's own definition - the Soviet union was a "union of soviet socialist republics" -- this included the Russian SSR, the Ukrainian SSR, the Kazakh SSR

unless you are now claiming that Latvia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan etc. should be part of the Russian federation - even that statement of you flies against the Soviet facts

Neocons like you don’t believe history that the Russian federation declared itself a successor state to the USSR but the USSR said it was not a successor state to the Russian Tsardom.

Net net, Crimea before 2014 was only part of Russia from 1945 to 1954

What? That is some circular logic you are using. Regardless of your moronic response, Russia was the Soviet Union and the Soviet Union was Russia and you just sound like an idiot to quibble about it.

"A victory (however defined) will be a loss for Russia at this point."

Yes, winning is losing and Biden is as sharp as evah!

Have you ever read a book?

The Soviet UNION was a UNION of Soviet Socialist Republics like the Russian SSR, the Ukrainian SSR, the Estonian SSR.

Estonia is not Russia no matter what you Neocoms say

Baghdad Bob, aka: Karine Jean-Pierre

Must’ve gotten a sex change operation along the way...

but, Baghdad Bob’s brain was removed from his head and split among the left-wing media’s talking heads. Many thousands of Baghdad Bobs in the media now.

Putin is and has always had the support of the Russian public because their quality of life has dramatically improved during his tenure.

And, if there is criticism of him over this war, it's because he's been too restrained.

Blind hatred of your "enemy" leads to bad and reckless decisions.
