More questions about President Biden’s cognitive state are emerging as a new poll showed a jaw-dropping 72% of registered voters do not believe he is mentally fit for the job.
While many Democrats were left flabbergasted and sent into a tailspin by Biden’s debate debacle last week, the 81-year-old president’s cognitive slips have been nothing new to his inner circle.
White House aides have been meticulously working behind the scenes throughout his presidency to minimize his exposure to situations where his cognitive slip-ups could flare up in public and to adapt the day-to-day of the presidency to the needs of an octogenarian.
The commander-in-chief is seen as prone to absent-minded gaffes and fatigue outside of six hours a day — between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. — and while traveling abroad, Axios said in a new report.
From shorter stairs when boarding Air Force One to guiding him on jaunts over concerns about his gait and proclivity for appearing lost, his team has reportedly been forced to step up its efforts over time to shield him more and more.
“I know many of these people and how the White House operates,” said Chandler West, the White House’s former deputy director of photography under Biden, in an Instagram story after the debate, Axios reported.
“They will say he has a ‘cold’ or just experienced a ‘bad night,’ but for weeks and months, in private, they have all said what we saw last night — Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago,” West said.
“The debate was not the first bad day, and it’s not gonna be the last,” said the ex-administration staffer, who had a first-hand seat to the president’s behavior.
“It’s time for Joe to go.”

Anyone remotely aware of what’s going on in this country knew years ago that Biden is a mental midget. It was amazing to see the clowns over at MSNBC were totally SHOCKED by Biden’s debate performance.

When a guy stands on stage at a memorial for our Normandy dead, in front of the assembled “free world” and $hits himself, it’s pretty evident to all that there’s a problem.
In part because the media has shielded him from scrutiny. IF this had been Trump that’s all the media would have been showing.

It’s plain and clear, if Trump people has hidden his cognitive condition (as they have with Biden), they’d be facing 30 years for Election Interference.

It amazes me how so many media figures seem shocked when there have been so many incidents. Even now many if most are embracing the “Joe just had a bad day” BS that is being pushed out.

Which, if true, means at a maximum only 28% of the voting population would vote for him UNLESS there are Democrat voters who would vote for any addled vegetable with a ‘D’ next to his name (which is why he always polls in at least the high thirties).
How does a reasonable person shield him from us seeing what we’ve been seeing for years? Do they have no dignity or honesty left?
Why did they allow him to repeat the camaign creation myth of his being motivated to run by seeing nazis marching out the woods at Charlottesville with Trump calling them “very fine people, “ when it had just been further debunked by Snopes the week before ( trump unfortunately didn’t say “Snopes” in the rejoinder )
Before Biden retreated to his Delaware basement during the 2019 campaign, there were several instances showing the beginning of his dementia. At the Iowa State Fair he threaten to beat up a heckler and of course his calling an audience member a “dog faced pony soldier”. His rambling false stories and outright lies were long a Biden hallmark. His winning the nomination in 2019 was not due to brilliant campaigning, but backroom deals to freeze out the other even worse candidates seeking the nomination. This debate was Biden’s Waterloo because it openly showed him to be a senile old man who is not capable of being POTUS.
