Vice President Kamala Harris has never been closer to the presidency after Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance sent Democratic elites into a tailspin about their chances in the 2024 election.
As the vice president of the United States, Harris is the natural successor of the presidency if Biden steps down. But for years, Democrats have criticized Harris’ performance and feel she should not take over for Biden before the election.
One well-connected Democrat told DailyMail.com after the debate that the choice was between an ‘obviously broken Biden’ or Harris, describing the vice president as ‘extremely disliked’ and a ‘terrible’ politician.
‘I think I’d have a better shot with Biden,’ he said.
One Washington, DC political operative described to DailyMail.com the mood of Democrats on Friday morning.
‘Everybody’s going to try to resurrect Joe Biden today, but after that debate performance, Jesus Christ couldn’t be resurrected,’ he said.
He described the 'Kamala conundrum' as a result of Biden and Democrats playing the 'dangerous game' of identity politics to boost their numbers with the black community.
'She could be great for the base right?' he said. 'But you still need independent voters who just don't have confidence in her.'
Other Democrats conceded that Biden did not have a good night, but the party is not ready to replace him with Harris.

Then you have states that won’t have a Democrat nominee, because they waited too long to replace him.
There is no way that Obama turns the reins over to Kamala Harris. It will be 1968 all over again, when LBJ refused to stay on the ticket and turned Humphrey was nominated for President while the streets were burning in Chicago. Biden will stay in office but will not run, but the Democrats might very nominate someone else other than Harris.
Hmm. Get rid of POTUS, VPOTUS and Speaker all at once. Quite an trifecta. Only downside is it ends with our 3rd President Johnson. Both priors were quick brain exposure replacements. Here the brain was exposed as empty beforehand. Both priors turned out to be duds. A really weird and discouraging trend.
Harris has a notorious staffing problem and Dementia Joe’s entire tenure has been bobbing at the puppet strings of his, who have had ample time to try Harris out for size and didn’t like what they saw. The Dem position is one of swapping out a moron for an idiot and hoping for the best.
Kamala Harris is not approved by the Deep State.
They'll rather run the country with Joe as a puppet for another 6 months than to give Kamala Harris a chance and see what happens.
She has the opportunity to be the POTUS right now.
But by Monday, the crisis will be over. They've circled their wagons around Joe. They'll go down with the ship in November, sabotage Trump for the next four years and regroup in 2028.
In other words, if you were in uniform, would you follow orders and fight for President Harris?
Johnson may be the best of the (limited) options we have right now.

Biden won't be replaced, but there's still a 50/50 chance Karamela will be on the ticket in November with a fresh VP.
The only reason Kamala was selected was because everyone knew she would be worse so it protects Biden.
It’s true. The Brics ( China and Russia) aren’t buying into the climate change hoax, the Green initiative, boys in girls bathrooms, XYZ’s trans in every department of government, gay marriage, etc….

So she can be safely swapped out for Newsom - who has an even greater appeal to the same demographic.
They MUST nominate a black woman, and Harris is incompetent, so Big Mike will get the call.
