President Joe Biden is reportedly set to discuss the future of his re-election campaign on Sunday with his family at Camp David.
The development, first reported by NBC News Saturday night, come days after his disastrous debate performance. There, the commander-in-chief faced off with Donald Trump, stumbling over his words and losing his train of thought in the process.
While Biden's trip to the 125-acre country retreat located in the hills of northern Maryland was planned ahead of Thursday's disastrous performance, the Saturday getaway will serve as a break in the campaign trail with his children and grand children.
Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought, a source told NBC News. 'No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion.'
Biden's retreat comes as his team keeps insisting that the idea of him dropping out of the race would only 'lead to weeks of chaos,' calling the concern of several Democrats the work of 'bedwetting brigade.'

I have never witnessed such chaos in the Democrat Party. It is a free for all - they have no leader, and when you take the hierarchy out of their system, they become a quivering mass of tribes and special interests…a mob that gets completely out of control. The media - their personal propaganda tool - went off the reservation almost immediately when it became clear the leadership was vacant.

I hope and pray it’s just the start of their complete and irreparable unravelling. May they shrivel on the vine and be tossed into the dustbin. Perhaps this has taken the wind out of their election fraud sails and there’s a good chance of President Trump taking his rightful place again.
Biden’s expression in that photo tells you all you need to know. “where am I? And who is this crazy woman?”
He was still on Western-European time with a cold, and he was inadvertently given nighttime cold medicine... few others his age would have been able to remain on their feet at effectively 3AM in the morning. By all accounts, Biden was tenacious and had the energy to Meet & Greet at a nearby diner after the debate.
Expect to see reports like this in the days ahead. Nothing will change prior to the Democrat Convention the 3rd week of August.
Which is why the first debate was scheduled before the conventions. Has that ever been done before?
I think the Democrats wanted a test run before they settled on Biden. Trump should have insisted the first debate wouldn't be until September or October.
