President Joe Biden is reportedly set to discuss the future of his re-election campaign on Sunday with his family at Camp David.
The development, first reported by NBC News Saturday night, come days after his disastrous debate performance. There, the commander-in-chief faced off with Donald Trump, stumbling over his words and losing his train of thought in the process.
While Biden's trip to the 125-acre country retreat located in the hills of northern Maryland was planned ahead of Thursday's disastrous performance, the Saturday getaway will serve as a break in the campaign trail with his children and grand children.
Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought, a source told NBC News. 'No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion.'
Biden's retreat comes as his team keeps insisting that the idea of him dropping out of the race would only 'lead to weeks of chaos,' calling the concern of several Democrats the work of 'bedwetting brigade.'

The irony is the Dem elite and media allies see Biden’s self destruction at the debate as a victory for them because now they can get rid of him like they always wanted to and unload the overhang of the cognizance issue on the rest of the party’s candidates. They, as well as Trumo, know Biden was their weakest candidate because he, alone, offers the one fatal issue that is even bigger than the immigration issue for them,,,the age and lack of cognizance of Biden. Only Biden can offer that fatal issue up on platter. They will breathe a sigh of relief once he withdraws

I’m reminded of Gideon in the Bible that has too many fighting men, and God gets him down to 300 men (the story about watching how they drink water from the stream). Those 300 men fight an army estimated at 135,000. BUT - those men are all from various tribes. (They would descend on Israel every year to raid their crops, etc.) Gideon causes panic with his 300 men making noise and blowing trumpets.
The tribes start fighting each other, and soon the survivors are chased out by Gideon.
Anyway - I’ve made this comparison before with regard to the infighting currently underway among the LGBTQ groups. And pray that God will use this infighting to bring an end to all of their leftist ideologies.
Trump should have insisted the first debate wouldn’t be until September or October.

Biden’s people wouldn’t have agreed to that, it was “take it or leave it” for Trump. Trump didn’t have any leverage to dictate the terms.
Furthermore, if Trump would’ve taken advice from Free Republic’s political ‘experts’ what’s going on now wouldn’t be taking place.
We need to create an “Emperor has no clothes” meme that shows a child that looks like Trump pointing at an old naked Biden.
I have no regard for him nor reservations about what he should suffer. He is a bully, a thug, a stupid man but conniving. Just because he is old and senile I don’t think he merits any consideration.
Yeah, its been exposed that Biden shouldn’t be president, both media and Democratic party have been lying about him, and this is the worst new cycle ever for the Democrats, point blank.
Biden just stepping aside, but remaining president isn’t going to fly, I think.
Trump can only do what he can do. Campaign campaign campiagn. There’s been no self inflected mistakes by his campaign as of yet.
