To: Alberta's Child
Every State has its own rules. Early voting begins in some State in 3 months. There a rules for the registration of candidates and those States primaries are done, so yes they can ban new candidates for a party after the primaries. If you follow politics you will recall a few years back a Senate candidate died before Election Day. He had to remain on the ballot. Dead guy won Governor appointed his replacement.

Conventions have nothing to do with it.

Joe Biden isn’t even the nominee yet. How can a state possibly mandate that he must be put on their ballot?
