First lady Jill Biden’s ex-husband has joined the chorus of people slamming her for apparently encouraging President Biden to stay in the election after his disastrous debate performance.
“The Dr. Jill Biden who I’ve seen on TV in the last five years is not the same person I married or that I recognize in any way,” Bill Stevenson, who was married to Jill from 1970 to 1975, told The Post Saturday.
“She’s matriculated into a completely different woman.” Stevenson, 75, of Delaware, is a proud Trump supporter who has been vocal over the years about his bitterness with what he has at times called “the Biden crime family.” “I just don’t understand why she is so adamant about defending him and keeping him in the race since it appears that he’s struggling,” Stevenson said.

JILL Biden’s ex-husband has claimed that his former pal Joe Biden is a hypocrite for attacking Trump’s character after he had an ‘affair’ with his wife. Bill Stevenson, 72, said that the Bidens’ fairytale first blind date in 1975 was a lie - and that the couple were actually introduced by him three years earlier. Bill Stevenson, Jill Biden’s ex-husband, has called Joe a hypocrite after he had an affair with his wife. Joe and Jill Biden say they met in 1975.
Joe Biden “is picking on people about character,” when he, in fact, had an affair with a married woman, Stevenson claims. Jill had just finalised her divorce to Bill, and Joe was dealing with the trauma of his first wife’s death in a car crash, when the pair met on a blind date. The couple then married two years later in 1977 - and have been together ever since.
However, during an interview with Inside Edition, host Steven Fabian asked Stevenson: “Is the story of the blind date true?” “No, not even a little bit,” he replied. Stevenson instead insisted that he and Jill were still married when Jill met Joe - and that they met three years before the Bidens’ claim. He added: “’I was betrayed by the Bidens. “Joe was my friend; Jill was my wife.”
Jill was 18 years old when she married Bill Stevenson, just six months after they met in 1969. Stevenson says he introduced Jill and Joe in 1972. He said: “I threw a fundraiser for him in August, raised between $2,500 and $3,000. “I introduced Joe to Jill in 1972. Right before the election, in ‘72. “Jill, Joe, Neilia and I were in his kitchen. How do you forget that?”
Bill Stevenson claims the couple were having an affair while he was still married to Jill. At the time, Joe was a council member campaigning for the US Senate, and was married to his first wife, Neilia. Neilia Biden died four months later in a car crash while Christmas shopping in December 1972.
Stevenson first suspected that his wife was having an affair with Joe Biden in August 1974, when Jill was 23 years old. Their car, a brown Corvette, was involved in a crash in May - and through the details he discovered more information which sparked his distrust. The man who informed him about the crash told him it wasn’t Stevenson’s wife driving the car. He said: “He looks at me and says oh, she wasn’t driving.
“I said, her beloved Corvette, she wasn’t driving? He said, no, Senator Biden was driving.” Stevenson said he then confronted Jill - asking her if she was having an affair with Biden. “She didn’t say anything - she just looked at me,” he recalled. “I said you have to go. You have to get your own place.”
The pair then divorced in May 1975, however Jill and Joe say they did not meet until March 1975. Stevenson added: “It’s years ago, but guess what - it’s so current right now. Because he is picking on people about character. “I’ve said from the very beginning that I have no hard feelings, about Joe, Jill, the affair. “But if I don’t do it now, it’s never going to be able to be brought up.”
