Doesn’t matter. No one heard anything Trump said. That split screen caused people to focus on Joe while Trump was talking. They were horrified and transfixed. CNN choosing that split screen, John King starting it going first immediately after the debate. His commentary started the avalanche of panic.

Exactly, what you said. It was preplanned that all of the DNC and MSM were to broadcast the theme of DJT lied, and Joe was just honest, if sloppy.
First thing Friday morning, there were multiple sites of “fact checking” on Trump’s debate assertions, but zero (that I came across) of fact checking anything Joe said. Just some seeking sympathy for him, having had a cold and tired since he works so hard.
