I think Joe and Jill will exit the race because the deep state has too many carrots and sticks to use.

Carrots: Hunter will be pardoned by a new democrat president but that can only occur if Biden doesn't run; Joe will not be prosecuted for wrongdoing; Joe can keep all the China money he has received; Joe can get a big, fat book deal; Joe and Jill can continue to ride on Air Force One from time to time; Joe will get a spot in the Clinton/Obama pantheon; Joe will get a state funeral.

Sticks: Joe will have no deep-state campaign funding meaning he will lose to Trump; Joe will lose his eternal legacy; Joe's criminal activity will be exposed for all to see.

The media needs to step it up WRT the Bidens.
For instance, Jill Biden needs much more scrutiny.

not above using elder abuse in search of grabbing onto power for herself.

She incurred outrage for profligately flying back and forth on govt planes
making a show of herself attending Hunter’s ill-fated trial on gun charges.

More recently, the spectacle of djill leading the befuddled
Joe off the debate stage intensified scrutiny of her role.

She patted Joe on the head like a toddler, telling him he
“did good” at his universally panned debate performance.

They do, but that's just going from one frying pan to another frying pan. This is a BAD LOOK for the Democrat Party. ANY replacement who might have an outside chance of winning would decline until 2028. Hillary Clinton's not much younger, and her health is also quite questionable. Trump shows he can beat her even WITH cheating. They COULD try a near unknown (my money is on Beshear from Kentucky). All those choices mean a nominee who got ZERO votes during the primary, kinda hard to talk about protecting Democracy when an oligarchy of directed superdelegates determine the outcome. Yo might even have entire state Dem parties say, "Bag it" we back RFK Jr, like many Dem leaders did with Wallace over Humphrey in 1968.

So, if I am the Deep Staters, I would either

1. Do WHATEVER it takes to keep Trump from taking office. Yes, ANYthing.

2. Get a Deep State plant for VP if possible. It is important that long-term MAGA be corrupted.

3. Make sure that Trump does NOTHING that can't be undone with the stroke of a pen until 2029. For everything else, tie it up in Court.

4. Agencies should steer the country over the cliff so Trump gets the blame.
