He can still pardon them before he drops out, but I hope he won’t drop out. Every time he called Trump a liar last night, he looked like a bitter old man.
My understanding is that one has to be accused of crime or convicted of a crime to receive a presidential pardon. I am not aware of pardons issued before indictments.
PRETTY SURE THERE HAVE TO BE ACTUAL TRIALS & CONVICTIONS BEFORE A PARDON.
