The Klinghoffer case doesn’t fall under any conventional legal standards. As the crime took place in international waters outside the jurisdiction of any nation, it was the legal equivalent of piracy — and anyone who dealt with it (especially the U.S.) would have a wide degree of latitude.

The guy who killed Kiki Camarena in Mexico is being extradited. Cyber thieves are being extradited.
