A 750ft cargo ship has sunk in the Red Sea days after Yemen's Houthi rebels said they launched a blistering drone attack on the vessel, reportedly killing one mariner on board.
Dramatic footage released by the group shows the moment a barrage of rockets slammed into the MV Tutor, with a direct hit triggering a huge explosion after striking the centre of the defenceless coal carrier.
It would be the second ship sunk as part of the rebels' campaign targeting Red Sea shipping after the Rubymar, which was carrying more than 41,000 tonnes of fertiliser, went down in March around two weeks after being struck by missiles.

I don't think we need to declare war. Maybe Congress decides to do nothing. Little shipping is currently US flagged, but some is flagged in countries we are treaty bound to defend. However, it might be interesting to see what some motivated billionaires could do with US issued letters of marque and reprisal under looser rules of engagement. We never signed the European treaties prohibiting such letters. Only because the the US administration does not want to defeat the Houthi, only pretend to do something because that is expected. The Democratic Party is de facto an ally of the Houthi, but cannot say so out loud.

Iran is providing weapons to terrorists, but the Iranian Revolutionary Guard are operating in Yemen also (and other countries). In fact sources in Yemen are saying the Iranians are actually firing some of the missles and operating some of the drones. The Biden Admin. knows this, but is pretending Iran isn’t directly involved.
