Netanyahu Confirms: ‘Great Slowdown’ in U.S. Arms, Ammunition Shipments

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed Friday that there had been a “great slowdown” in U.S. arms and ammunition shipments, and said he publicly criticized the White House after months of quiet frustration.

As Breitbart News reported, Netanyahu posted a video to social media earlier this week in which he thanked the Biden administration for its support, but urged it to stop withholding arms and ammunition. The White House claimed that it did not know what he was talking about, but Republican senators filled in the details: the Biden administration had been using bureaucratic tricks to delay weapons shipments since as long ago as January.

In an interview with Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman, Netanyahu explained:

We began to see that we had some significant problems emerging a few months ago. And in fact, we tried, in many, many quiet conversations between our officials and American officials, and between me and the president to try to iron out this diminution of supply.

...It’s important to note, the hold up was being done quietly, and behind the scenes. That means it wasn’t even being done for political gain - for Muslim voters in Michigan etc. - it was done purely for ideological purposes to hurt Israel...

It’s not a shipment reduction, it’s a cheap fake being used by Republicans and right wing media. There, that will keep anyone from believing Bibi. Next!!!!

This is why France is self-sufficient when it comes to their defense needs.

Lesson being, self defense is your own responsibility. Always has been. Always will be.

Israel a very small country, surrounded by enemies and lacking in many natural resources, they need allies to help them in many areas, including weapons and ammo, the US used to be a very reliable ally but not with Pedo Joe at the helm.

Probably the only reason the Lord has not allowed us to go into WW3 yet is because of Israel. People just don't realize their importance.

S2 Underground has talked a bit about this.

The US demands that their customers hold to US standards of targeting. That is why Ukraine was limited in what they could strike.

Israel has not been doing that. That ends up putting some regulatory restrictions on shipment. A nice way to stop arms with out much political involvement

Israel receives the most foreign aid of any country in the world...from the USA. 3 billion a year.

Since Oct 7, 2023 we have sent them 12.5 Billion. Doesn’t seem to me that Biden is deserting them.

How much more should a bankrupt country like the USA send to them? Do they help us when we have issues?

Uh, Ukraine has seen a lot of the same thing (large and sometimes crippling delays in weapons shipments.) Winter-Spring-Summer 2023 in particular.

[Why Israel allows itself to be dependent on the US supply chain is beyond me….?]

Same reason as Europeans. They like their welfare state. The UK used to spend 7% on the military, vs 2% now. That’s how every weapon system, plane on down, was once British-made. We like our welfare state, too. In Eisenhower’s time, 10% of GDP was spent on defense, vs today’s number of under 4%. The navy had two dozen carriers, and almost 900 ships then, vs 11 and under 300 today.
