The battle against homelessness in the Portland, Oregon, area reportedly came with a high cost in 2023, with most of the money going to temporary shelter, services, and housing placement.

ECOnorthwest’s analysis found in the counties of Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas, “local governments and nonprofits” shelled out $531 million for homeless interventions, Fox News reported on Thursday.

“The huge increase was driven in part by nearly $90 million in federal pandemic relief funds, as well as a regional homeless tax approved by voters in 2020, the report shows,” the outlet said.

Comments BUMP! Everybody had a home at one time. A good opportunity for a citizen journalist to report from the homeless shelter WHAT HAPPENED homeless individual?

Portland's a hellhole because their 'elites' are more concerned about 'feeling good about themselves' than in helping the 'homeless' or any other group.
It's like TV stations that hire beautiful bimbos so their office experience feeds their egos at the expense of the network... Selfish and unaware - the liberal 'look' for their twisted reality.

The only good thing is that unlike California, most of their liberals don't have the money to escape to red states like Florida and Texas and Tennessee. So they get to live in the hellhole they created. Which is 'just desserts'...

How’d that work out for them🤔😂😂😂😂 Their investment returned massive dividends of more homeless leaches, because on the streets immune to following any law of civilization is exactly where these people want to be.

“Homeless?” I think the pig-ignorant bigots meant “unhoused.”

War on Homelessness®?

As some have said "There is a LOT of money to be made in the homelessness business."
