Any waiter or waitress dumb enough to declare a cash tip should pay taxes on it. Problem these days is that the “tip” is already on your bill and often paid by credit card. Cash gives people freedom . That is why the government wants a “cash free” society.

Whenever possible, I tip in cash. It doesn't leave a record.

I always pay tips in cash, even when paying the bill by card.

Any waiter or waitress dumb enough to declare a cash tip should pay taxes on it.

The IRS assumes that on every meal you serve you get a 15% tip and that is calculated in to the taxes you must pay. Or you must prove you did not get such tips. The IRS is bloody insane.
