The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has officially approved plans for an “offensive in Lebanon” against Hezbollah, the Iran-backed terror group illegally occupying southern Lebanon that has been firing at northern Israel since October.
In a statement, the IDF said:
Today (Tuesday), the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin, and the Head of the Operations Directorate (J3), MG Oded Basiuk, approved operational plans and held a joint situational assessment in the Northern Command.
As part of the situational assessment, operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon were approved and validated, and decisions were taken on the continuation of increasing the readiness of troops in the field.
Israel has been warning for weeks that war is likely unless Hezbollah stops its attacks. President Joe Biden sent Special Envoy Amos Hochstein to Israel and Lebanon this week in an effort to calm tensions, but that appears to have failed.

Don't worry. If Israel attacks Lebanon, I'm sure Biden will give Israel as many weapons, free of charge, as it wants.
Up till now, Biden has sent billions in military aid, along with some critical words. Why should that change?

The IDF seems to be laying waste to the Hamoids just fine.
But, best to err on the side of caution against Hezbollah, and employ some less precise, “area,” weapons.
The Israelis will simply play whack-a-mole for a few months until the destructive futility of further resistance sets in. Hopefully the Palestinians will lynch the survivors.
I hope it goes better than the last large-scale incursion into southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah is really entrenched in that area - bunkers, tunnels, etc.
The IDF could send drones to patrol the tent cities in Gaza indefinitely. But Hamas will just learn how to fight the drones so that wouldn't be a viable long term strategy.
The IDF real purpose of genocide is going along swimmingly. The stated goal of “complete destruction” of Hamas has been a complete and total failure. Not only has the Arab world been united against Israel and the US but so has the rest of the non decadent West world. NOW, Hezbollah is armed to the teeth with drones and missiles. If Netanyahu goes against Hezbollah, Zionism will finally get its comeuppance.

Of course they will have made plans. The fact that they’re announcing it publicly is to attempt to deter the need to carry those plans out. It may not work though, as Biden’s latest maladroit is over there screwing things up.

You don’t seem to know the definition of the word “failure”. Hamas has lost operational control of almost the entirety of Gaza. Nearly half of the senior leadership is dead, and they’ve lost entire battalions of fighters.
The only catastrophe I see is the one being visited on the savages you’re so fond of.
