TIMELINE: 'Extremely rare' tropical system could form off Florida's Atlantic Coast midweek

ORLANDO, Fla. - Data this weekend indicates a low potential for a tropical depression or storm to form and track due west into the east coast of Florida or southeast Georgia by late Wednesday into Thursday.

Such an event would be "extremely rare" for June, said FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Noah Bergren. "Historically, only three storms have made landfall from the east in June," he added. "The most recent was Tropical Storm Danny in 2021, which hit South Carolina."

Re: "Tropical Storm"

About five years ago, Weather Professionals decided to name EVERY large low pressure system that forms in the south Atlantic Ocean.

That means by September or October, The Weather Channel is breathlessly reporting that, "Once again, we have run out of storm names!"

NASA claims 10% while the ESA claims 13% so, if averaged, it means 11.5% additional water vapor was blown into the upper stratosphere worldwide.

Can you imagine how much heat is retained by that vapor barrier? They both estimate a 5 - 7 year period of change before dissipation of the vapor.

Great catch, Army Mom.

I actually knew that growing up in Florida, but I completely forgot.
