As she runs this year in one of the top gubernatorial elections in the country, former Sen. Kelly Ayotte is making clear she supports former President Trump's bid to win back the White House.

"Under Joe Biden things cost more, we’re less safe. There’s no question that we are worse off than we were than when President Trump was in office," Ayotte charged in a national interview with Fox News Digital. "I’m supporting President Trump because I believe we need to change courses for the nation."

Yeah, she is running for Governor and remembers how she lost because she obeyed McCain and stabbed Trump in the back.

OTOH, NH is a pretty purple-blue state. If her support, as fair-weather it might be, gets Trump to win NH, that’s obviously a good thing.

NH is winnable in this environment. Think big tent, as distasteful as that might seem to some.

Regardless of Ayotte, it’s a good sign that wobbly Republicans are coalescing around Trump. Perhaps the abuses committed by the law firm of Bragg, Willis, Smith, and James are beginning to rattle mainstream Republicans.

Some people are smart enough to figure things out before they take an ass-whooping or fall off a cliff.

Kelly Ayotte is not one of those people.

I suppose she could be a useful tool in certain situations.

She’s all we got. It’s a shame.

Exactly right. People like her have no real convictions; just self-serving ambition.

“it’s a good sign that wobbly Republicans are coalescing around Trump”

**************

Temporarily. If Trump gets re-elected they will go right back to resisting him.

True, but it’s vitally important that he gets elected. And it’s still a very tight race.

I don't know. The “Republicans” in DC have habituated themselves (just like Dems) to stuffing their pockets.

They hate Trump because he was not in on that and wanted to choke off the gravy train.

Any kind of half-a*&ed, tardy ‘support’ they pretend to give him is not credible.
