President Biden has blamed politics for his son Hunter’s conviction Tuesday on federal gun charges — ignoring that his offspring’s defense attorneys helped scuttle a sweetheart plea bargain last summer that would have staved off the criminal case.
“If I weren’t running for re-election, he would have gotten the plea deal,” the elder Biden, 81, told one of his confidants earlier this month, according to Politico.
The reported remark recalls former President Donald Trump’s claim that prosecutors have engaged in “election interference” by pursuing criminal cases against him. Biden, in response, has called such claims by his great rival “reckless,” “dangerous” and “irresponsible.”

So Hunter would have been bailed out on all his past crimes, as the rejected plea stipulated, not just the (unconstitutional IMO) gun crimes, if daddy had not been in power? That doesn’t seem like the win Joepedo thinks it is.
If Hunter’s last name wasn’t Biden, he’d be in prison. For years.

Lets wait and see. He’s going to appeal for sure, and what kind of deals will be made is yet to come.
Hunter would have received a plea deal if the ‘right’ judge were overseeing the process.
Unlucky for him, a REAL judge was selected, and she questioned a blanket immunity deal encompassing any and all crimes, real or imagined, based on a 4473 violation case.
Not unless their demoncrazy was threatened.
He’s right. Going after Hunter was in response to Joe backing out of the deal to serve only one term.
LOL. He DID receive a plea deal and blew it by pushing it too far.
His “Special Prosecutor” sabotaged the real cases, leaving only that deal to stand between him and his tax and gun prosecution.

It's almost as if there wasn't already a very generous sweetheart plea deal put together with the DoJ... that Hunter's lawyers rejected in court because it wasn't sweet enough.

I agree with you about the unconstitutionality of the charges. I would have voted not guilty.
