Pope Francis reportedly used the term “faggotry” (“frociaggine”) again during a meeting with 160 priests where the Pontiff also discussed the issue of homosexual men entering seminaries.
According to major Italian news outlets, Francis told the priests present during the closed-door meeting at Salesian Pontifical University on Tuesday that “there is an air of faggotry in the Vatican.”

I have a difficult time imagining either of the two previous Popes using that language in any context. Actually, any previous Pope.

I know a priest who, upon graduating from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo California, literally removed his shoes and left them on the premises.
I think that Pope Francis may finally realize that in so often following the advice and recommendations of that element in the Church, he has brought himself and his papacy into disrepute.
Whatever. As a native speaker, he confirms the slang word is very vulgar.
Faggotry is not a slur; it’s a FACT.

Did I say “....overrun with queers?” No I didn’t. I said “similar reasons”.
I must apologize, though, I was forgetful of the denomination of the seminary. It was Disciples of Christ. He and my family were members of the “Christian Church” branch of DoC, which has since rolled back into the main DoC.
My family were kicked out of our local church in 1973 because the old ladies (men and women) who dominated the board of directors said that “we’ve had enough of this Jesus nonsense, we want to get back to God”. They even fired the pastor for being too involved in the Jesus movement of the time.
My cousins issues did involve sexuality, but more than that, basic doctrinal issues involving morality.

Nathan Pipho is very popular with several ELCA members who told me a long time ago that I was “full of shit” when I defended Anita Bryant!
Actually, Anita was more right than she knew! She would never have imagined that the ELCA (among others) would one day support “trans” in addition to “gay”!
If you’re in the ELCA, PLEASE visit an Orthodox parish and think (and pray) about becoming Orthodox—you and your family! REALLY!
Well, that is why it had for years been called the lavender Vatican.
Obviously, homos have overtaken the Church.
