Why not SOMEONE outside of the stinking swamp we NEED a business person to pick up the reins from Trump in 4 years, a stinking PIT BULL, we have to get OUTSIDE the government box if we are going to turn this country back to being a constitutional republic!!
Rubio will solidify the Hispanic vote which is needed in Florida, Texas, and Nevada not to mention others.
Getting elected is the primary goal.
In my opinion a white female or male VP will not swing votes. A white male is on top of the ticket and the female vote is based on emotional issues not gender.
A black male VP may influence the black male vote that is disgruntled with fake Biden. And Tim Scott would fit that Role
Hispanics do tend to self identify more than other groups and so a Hispanic VP could move those numbers a bit.
Rubio would be safe to a plus move for Trump. The Republican establishment would welcome it which brings along money and influence.
Vivek is not ready to be President IMO, sorry, but he would move some of the younger vote.
If President Trump wants an ally who will not stab him in the back and may swing a bit of the vote then Ben Carson would fit the bill.
In my opinion all the other choices would just wash out before it is all over.

I agree with the part about leaving behind a successor, but Blackburn is a pit bull (from what I've seen of her on TV) and she was a small business owner before entering Congress.
She's a woman, so she will be compared to Kamala Harris as to how a competent woman acts.
She holds all of the conservative positions, too.
But she's 72 years old, and that's a problem.

Not as Trump or Rep King (Iowa) defined it. The fact that Vivek's parents were here legally when he was born doesn't change the fact that his birth was to non-citizen parents (at the time).
King’s legislation would restrict automatic citizenship at birth to those with at least one parent who is a citizen, permanent resident, or active duty military member. King’s bill reflects concerns that unauthorized immigrants — and, in some cases, pregnant tourists — come to the U.S. to give birth so that their children will be U.S. citizens.
This is how many of us FReepers have interpreted the 14th Amendment's citizenship clause, which IMHO is an amendment to Article 2's Section 1's NBC clause for President to make sure that's interpreted correctly as the founding fathers intended.

As cited, the Constitution as correctly applied by the Supreme Court says he is an NBC.
That should take precedent over your personal opinion.

Neither Vivek nor Rubio are Art. II, §1, Cl. 5 natural-born Citizens of the United States. As Republicans, we can’t turn our backs on the provisions of the Constitution when it becomes inconvenient.

I read the Wikipedia articles on the female US senators and she seemed to be the best choice from the US Senate.
However, the Republicans can’t risk losing even one House or Senate seat. Remember Sessions and the loss of the Alabama Senate seat.
Perhaps a highly articulate Hispanic Republican female from a swing state legislature? I’d start a search in Texas.

Summary on Vivek’s status as a natural born citizen (NBC):
NBC is a legal issue. Vivek Ramaswamy was born on August 8, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents who were in the U.S. legally but not U.S. citizens. The U.S. Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that someone who is born on U.S. soil is an NBC if at the time of his birth, his parents were in the U.S. legally but not U.S. citizens. Therefore, according to the mandatory legal authority of sound constitutionally-based SC ruling and precedent, Vivek is an NBC.
Detailed argument
Since around 1900, (SC) rulings have become less and less valid because SC has gradually moved away from basing their decisions on the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended. But their ruling on NBC appear to be based on sound application of the Constitution.
In Perkins v. Elg, 99 F. 2d 408, Court of Appeals, Dist. of Columbia Circuit 1938, the Court of Appeals noted as part of the basis for their decision that...
United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649, 18 S. Ct. 456, 42 L. Ed. 890, 1898 [found that] [W]hen the Constitution was adopted the people of the United States were the citizens of the several States for whom and for whose posterity the government was established. Each of them was a citizen of the United States at the adoption of the Constitution, and all free persons thereafter born within one of the several States became by birth citizens of the State and of the United States.
It appears the Supreme Court in Elg (1939) agrees with Ark (1898).
(Both Marie Elizabeth Elg and Wong Kim Ark were born on U.S. soil to parents who were here legally but not U.S. citizens.)
Again, the Constitution is properly applied as written and ORIGINALLY UNDERSTOOD and intended. What matters is what the ratifiers of the Constitution considered an NBC was. The Supreme Court decisions based on the good-faith and sound finding of original understanding of NBC in the Constitution is, therefore, legal precedent concerning NBC. Thus, Vivek should be considered an NBC.
Some argue that the term “NBC” is not specifically used in Ark or Elg, but these cases revolve around citizenship based on birth on U.S. soil, which is exactly what NBC is. An NBC is a citizen automatically because he was born on U.S. soil. He is “naturally” and automatically a citizen needing no further processing to become a U.S. citizen. He becomes a citizen under “natural” (birth) circumstances, exactly as Elg, Ark, and now Vivek.
THIS: Rubio is another McCain.
I agree, which is why I'm surprised at seeing Rubio on the list. But, as long as Rubio was being floated I figured why not Blackburn, too?
I'm NOT surprised if the LAAP-dog media plays up the Rubio pick.
At least both picks are safe replacements. Still, Rubio from Florida puts Florida's 29 Electoral College votes at risk for the VP. Picking Rubio might lead to a split Trump/Harris administration if the election is close unless Trump can establish a residency somewhere else (but I think he really wants Mar-a-Lago to be his home).
That would be an avoidable "own goal" unless Trump picks someone else not from Florida.

Bingham said on the floor of the Senate during the debate on Amendment XIV that every baby born in the USA “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” except those born to diplomats or tribal Indians was to be a US citizen.
Those babies whose mothers are flouting US law or court date or are committing asylum fraud really are equally as unqualified as renegade Indians and US statutory law should take that into account.
I’m pretty sure your argument would be allowed by the Supreme Court with respect to Kamala Harris.

Pundits don’t seem to be able to wait for President Trump’s decision before passing judgment on how bad it is.
Instead, they make wild guesses or pretend to have inside information.
It reminds me of religious people arguing about the particulars of what happens after we die.

The term 'anchor babies' refers to the children of illegal aliens or nonimmigrant kids born in the US while their parents are here studying or on vacation..
It has nothing to do with children born to legal permanent resident aliens. They're already admitted for life and in no need of any anchor.
