You and I would have been yelled at. And then told to give our guns back.

His being an unregistered foreign agent seems to be an obvious infraction.

The funny thing is that I’ve made mistakes on my form (I completed the date wrong.). I handed it to the guy at the store. He looked it over. Handed me another one and pointed out my error. He wouldn’t sign it if it wouldn’t pass muster. And the guy read it closely.

I have always been impressed at how closely and “seriously” they took those forms.

I have no sympathy for Hunter. I figure if I can fill them out correctly, anyone should be able to. But this isn’t really a “go to prison” kind of crime if it only happened once.

My range shop requires TWO employees to read over the Form 4473 before proceeding with a purchase. The reason at the FFL level is that the ATF can pull the FFL if they find Form 4473 with mistakes. It's not worth losing your business over a simple paperwork oversight.
