Three Washington teens could face ten years in jail after being arrested for making skid marks on an LGBT rainbow road mural while riding e-scooters.

Blasphemy laws still exist; only the deities being protected by them have changed.
It seems to me that if government resources can be used to paint an advocacy symbol on the street for one group of people, they would have to do the same for another, such as a group that wanted “In God We Trust” painted on it because diversity, equity and inclusion.
this is how You know that LGBTQ stuff is cult
If a horse takes a dump on a rainbow crosswalk, is that a crime?
How is a ROAD a place for a political message? It’s dirty, cars drive on it, they BRAKE on it. How can marks on the road mean you’ve committed a CRIME? Did tax dollars pay for this? Even if not, it is a PUBLIC ROAD, and shouldn’t be used for politics.
That said, THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THEY USED THE ROAD. They’re fascists.
Howabout we put the people responsible for trashing the place with a homosexual symbol. Ten years sounds about right for that heinous crime.
Give the kids a medal and call it a day.
I agree, that is why I said it should not matter. But it is what it is, and I’m just curious. Why a felony for tooling around on a scooter on a street where cars are going to damage the mural anyway, eventually. And they are kids, they see a colored intersection, they ride their scooters over the colors... what did people expect? It’s paint, on an intersection, where cars drive. Boys will be boys, or they used to be anyway.
Defacing a rainbow flag is the U.S. equivalent of defacing a Quran in Saudi Arabia.
Just last week the nitwits in Wethersfield Ct wouldn’t put up the thin blue line flag because it is a “symbol of hate and triggers fear in so many” and that could be the defense’s lame argument. Rhetorical, but why is there such a double standard with everything on the left? Hypocritical lefty is redundant and I struggle more and more to not feel burning hatred for these people.
If it weren’t for double standards the Left wouldn’t have any standards at all.
Whatever the argument is about, it isn’t about that. It’s about “The Revolution.” It’s this nineteenth century communist revolution stuff, but all of the arguments and philosophy is sublimated so far in the past that the symptoms we’re seeing today, like you described, don’t make any sense, even to the Left. Everything is a knee jerk reaction based on something they heard discussed once by someone who themselves didn’t understand the basis. Like a child suffering adult trauma from something that happened when he was six that he can’t even remember, it would take twenty years of therapy for a Lefty to even understand it. They have to want to change, and they see no reason to change. By definition, its everyone who disagrees with them who needs to change.
What we desperately need is a set of laws to protect the bakers, wedding planners and the average people from the hyper-aggressive Left. Let me tell you why that won’t happen. I read every government contract I worked on. Every paragraph. At the end of each one there were all sorts of politically correct requirements. A gay and lesbian outreach program. A global warming abatement program. A recycling program. A quota for disadvantaged people to be paid high compensation equal to the average of the highest compensated employee on a given project. It went on and on. Requirements for lead free, chrome free, cage free...sometimes these requirements were equal in length to the requirements for whatever we were providing. Each requirement there is so a Senator or House delegate could tell their special constituent he had put it there just for them. In some cases, all of this (dirtiest word you can think of) cost almost as much as the product.
They must be white.
If this were a couple hundred
miles south, it would
be getting crapped on.
I like that strategy. They can't arrest ALL of us.
This is exactly what this is.
And you can't have blasphemy laws without an official "state religion."
